Early Years

At Brendies, we nurture curiosity, inquiry, and exploration. A space where imagining, questioning, and discovering are part of everyday learning. In an inspiring bilingual environment, with an international program that shapes open-minded, globally aware learners.

Brendies: The Beginning of a Great Adventure

At Brendies, we believe that early childhood learning is born from each child’s natural curiosity and is strengthened when play becomes the driving force behind inquiry. Here, children learn by doing, exploring, questioning and creating. That is why we design healthy, caring and stimulating learning environments, where every experience invites discovery and where relationships—between children, teachers and families—are built on affection, trust and respect. We know that when children feel safe and supported, they are encouraged to be curious, imaginative and creative, and to exercise their own agency.

Through active inquiry and play, children naturally develop their language, explore different forms of symbolic expression and begin to self-regulate their emotions, actions and learning. Every achievement, every attempt and every question is valued as an essential part of the process.

Along this journey, children gradually build a positive sense of identity, learn to interact with others, reflect on their experiences and contribute not only to their own learning, but also to that of the community around them. In this way, we lay the foundations for a fulfilling childhood and for deep learning that will accompany them beyond the early years, with the certainty that growing also means feeling seen, heard and valued.

IB Approach in Early Years

On this path that begins at school, Brendies represents the first step within the Primary Years Programme (PYP). It is here that the foundations of the IB learner profile are established, where wonder is transformed into questions and everyday experiences into opportunities for meaningful learning. We support each child at this stage with pedagogical intention, sensitivity and commitment, convinced that this beginning in the PYP is not only the start of a programme, but the beginning of a way of learning, thinking and being in the world that will accompany them throughout their entire school and personal journey.
